To create a lovely, simple scarf. Cast on 10 stitches. Knit every row until the scarf is the length that you want. Cast off (video coming soon). To specialize it, you can add tassles or beads wherever you would like! Creating a scarf (even a small one) is great practice before attending a Healing Knits Canada workshop or course. Have fun!

Families of Prisoners

The purpose of this work is to create, with a team of volunteers, healing knitted pieces for families of prisoners. This is an area where I feel there is much need. Crime not only deeply affects the victims of the crime, but also the families of people who have committed the crimes

When this work becomes established, there will be creation of healing knitted pieces for victims of crime and their families.

Eventually, the dream is to be creating loving pieces for the families of the prisoners, victims, and for the criminal themselves.

There are ethical, moral, financial and regulatory considerations for this work, that is why it is being begun slowly. Please contact me @ heidibearca@yahoo.ca for more information.
